Tears and
Hope 164 Since the invasion of Australia by white settlers, thousands and thousands of tears were shed on the land by Indigenous Peoples. The beautiful countryside was trampled on by the newcomers, the natural environment destroyed and the original owners dispossessed. If we acknowledge the plight of the Indigenous Peoples and try to redress past injustices, there is yet hope for the future. We must have mutual respect and work towards harmonious coexistence.
